Its week 2 into our renovation..
Nothing much just alot of sand around the whole house..

Flooring works began..
Hmm.. saw my homogeneous tiles.. Almost forgot how my tiles look like cos the last time i went to choose was in Apr.. Seems like when i saw in the shop was much more shiny.. Now i see in my house looks dull.. Maybe due to the lighting at the shop..
Because must wait for the wall to be hacked, the flooring for the passageway cannot be done yet.. At first the workers wants to do the whole house but since passageway cannot be done, they almost didnt wanna do..
Luckily Dennis told them to do the Living/Dining area.. Some other day then do the passageway..
Discuss some changes with Dennis to be made along the way.. then i asked him: "eh.. is this blue and red wire supposed to be the switch..?
When he saw it:"Hai, these workers very Ge Yan.. where got ppl place the switch so low.." He told me the workers did wrong height.. He'll rectify..
I think the workers thot its the switch for TV..
Anyway, the flooring works start..
Just some wild thot, tried asking if the tiles to be placed diagonally, but Dennis told me workmanship would be doubled.. and the excess tiles when they cut will be wasted.. ooh.. ok so better stick to the straight layout.. Hee

Layer by layer, the tiles are laid..
When i showed Fio, the pics i took this morning, she was curious how the flooring works was done.. She saw water and sand and told me: "orh.. so water plus sand = cement"
I was like dunno to faint or laugh first.. but replied: "eh like that everytime rain, East Coast and Sentosa beach will become cement le.." Hee..
Anyway, told her on top of sand also got some other materials - mixture of sand, water, cement and some got white powdery stuff...
...and also cigerette ashes 
In between, i went to HDB to press them for the approval for the hacking of wall.. Cos i just cant get through their line.. 
After much perseverance, i manage to hunt down the person in-charge. They told me they would arrange for the person to come down earliest is 30 May.. ok.. at least i got an answer..
Dad came to view my reno.. and i showed him ard the neighbourhood.. and also the HDB habitat forum.. Show him how HDB flats look like nowadays.. and how they design it..
When we returned, the tiles were all up.. and the worker is just cleaning it.. wow..

Done.. the concrete slabs are used as weights.. looks rather unsightly.. Fio and me felt that it looked like.. er u know i know.. dun wanna say much.. in case touch wood..
